About Us
Thirteen A Social Enterprise (13:ASE) is an entrepreneurial program of the Parkdale Food Centre. We engage youth who are seeking employment and skills development opportunities in the operation of our social enterprise. Where we make and sell African spice mixes inspired by the country particiapants of the program have come from.
13:ASE serves as an entry point into the labour market. It provides a supportive first work experience and helps participants gain strong emotional and social skills as well as confidence in themselves and their future.

Libin Omar
Social Media Cordinator and Youth Mentor
Libin is a Social Media Coordinator and youth mentor with Thirteen A Social Enterprise. Libin first became involved with Parkdale Food Centre in 2016 as a participant of the Thirteen program and proceeded to get more and more involved. She has a keen interest in business and is currently enrolled in a food business management program at Algonquin College. Libin is one to watch for in the community.

The Program Coordinator is responsible for delivering the majority of our training and for supporting the engagement of the youth team in our business activities
Meagan McVeigh
Program Manager
Meagan has been working with PFC since 2017 and is the Program Manager of Thirteen. She has helped developed the program training materials and supports the facilitation and coordination of program delivery.
Hana Yusuf
Youth Alumni Coordinator
Our Alumni Coordinator will be responsible for supporting our alumni as they move on from Thirteen. We aim to provide supports in job search, training opportunities and/or whatever goals the alumni may have. The Alumni coordinator also plans additional training and events through PFC.
