Description

We are looking for a social media manager for the Ottawa Tool Library! As the Social media manager, you will need to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express the OTL's views creatively. The position can be done mostly from home with the exception of 2-3 in-person events each month. The position is volunteer however, we would like a commitment of at least 6 months.

The ideal candidate is super friendly, a self-starter, sees opportunities and tackles them with ease, loves to work collaboratively, is vocal, sincere, and also has great time-management.

Online:
Manage the online representation of OTL through our social networks
Manage content on our three social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter
Create fresh content weekly (3 posts per each platform, weekly)
Pre-schedule content into Hootsuite (optional)
Develop a marketing strategy for social media for upcoming promotions
Develop content to increase community engagement online
Respond to queries through social networks
Create successful social media campaigns that will generate event ticket sales and memberships
Use graphic design to create interesting content
Attend monthly core team meetings and report on social media activities

In-Person:
Attend OTL events in person and take videos and photos to be shared on our social media platforms
