Beef stew with injera & salad

One of my friends' mother would make this dish often, Beef stew with injera on the side. it's an amazing combination. I too had to learn this incredible Ethiopian recipe.

Best served with injera,  mashed potatoes or even rice or pasta for the perfect meal!


Half Oz of beef stew
1 tsp salted butter
2 chopped tomatoes 
1 chopped onion
¼ cup cilantro 
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup water
1 tsp Berbere spice


First you take out a blender and add these specific ingredients “ 1 chopped onion, 2 chopped tomatoes, ¼ cup cilantro, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp salt & 1 cup water” Make sure you blend it well.

In a saucepan, melt 1 tsp salted butter over medium heat, Add the beef stew

Pour the blended ingredient into the beef stew pot and cover.
Let it cook for 35 minutes make sure to stir with wooden spoon so it doesn't burn. Add 1 tsp of Berbere spice inside the beef stew. 

Put the Injera on the plate “You can buy at Tizita Bakershop” freshly done
Cut up some organic salad mix with cucumber & tomatoes
Once the beef stew is cooked you can place all the products into the plate.
