Have you ever looked at your refrigerator well full and still not find anything to eat? Yes? Me too. This recipe is the result of an afternoon where my refrigerator was desperately full. Berbere or Pili Pili can be used to add a rich flavour to your fridge finds.
Ingredients:
Salade:
- ¼ of avocado
- ¼ of green pepper, yellow pepper and red pepper
- ½ tomato
- ¼ cucumber
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of berbere or de pili pili
- Hot sauce
- Salt/ pepper (if you want)
Hamburger
- Oil
- 1 frozen uncooked beef burger
- 1 teaspoon of chicken broth base
- Salt and pepper (if you want)
- 1 spoon de berbere
- Hamburger bread
- A slice of tomato
- A lettuce leaf
- A handful of cheese cheddar (if you want)
Instructions
Salad
Boil the eggs for 20 minutes at high heat. In a bowl, add the avocado, the green peppers, the cucumber and the tomato cut in dice. Once the eggs boiled, cut them in dice and add them to the salad. Put the berbere or pili pili, a few drops of hot sauce and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix it all with a big spoon.
Hamburger
Put the burger in a plate and season it with salt, pepper, berbere and chicken broth base. Put it in a pan with a spoon of oil on medium heat and cook it for 10 minutes on each side. Garnish the hamburger with tomato, lettuce and cheese.
