Pili Pili Chicken and Potato Veggie saute

We were drawn to this recipe because it is easy to make, delicious, and blends well with our spices 

Ingredients 

  1. 2 small onions, diced
  2. 1 green paper, sliced
  3. 1 orange paper, sliced
  4. 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  5. 1 fresh tomato, diced
  6. 2 small mushrooms, sliced
  7. 3 medium potatoes, cubed
  8. ¼ cup of chopped cilantro
  9. 2 chicken breasts, cubed                                
  10. 1 teaspoon of thirteen Pili Pili 

Instructions

Step 1: 

1. Add 2 tablespoons of butter into a frying pan

2. Add ¼ teaspoon of salt and ¼ teaspoon of Pili Pili spice into the butter

3. Add the 3 cubed potatoes into the mixture and stir for 2 minutes

4. Add  2 cubed chicken breasts on the potatoes

5. Stir until the chicken and potatoes are cooked thoroughly 


Step 2: 

1. In a new pan saute the onions, garlic, 3/4 of Pili Pili spice and mushrooms

2. When the mixture is brown add the green pepper, cilantro and orange peppers

3. Add diced tomatoes and 1 teaspoon of salt to the mixture and keep stirring

4. Add the mixture from step one to the mixture and keep stirring 

5. Keep stirring for five minutes and the food will be ready

 

NOTE: Best to serve with in the first 10 minutes when the meal is still hot with a slice of baguette.
