Volunteer Opportunities for Youth with Growing Futures/ Parkdale Food Centre
Olivia, who is the Volunteer Coordinator for the 29th Annual Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival. They are the largest Dragon Boat Festival in North America, and this year, their festival is taking place this summer from June 23rd-26th!
They have over fifteen volunteer positions available that we believe are a great opportunity for youth to participate in. If anyone is looking for challenging opportunities to help them grow, then North America's Largest Dragon Boat Festival is a great place for them to volunteer! Not only will volunteers have the opportunity to develop various leadership skills, they will be given the opportunity to help create a sense of community amongst Ottawa's citizens. Given that Growing Futures and the Parkdale Food Centre put a heavy emphasis on developing connections and a sense of community between youth in our city, They believe that the Dragon Boat Festival can be a tool to help youth come together and grow. Additionally, volunteers will be able to enjoy a weekend in the sun and on the beach, and that is a pretty fun way to spend a weekend in Ottawa!
