When I first moved here, the burger was the first fast food that I tried, and now it is one of my favourite food. I want to share this delicious burger with Pili Pili spice that I like to make at home.
Recipe by Narugo
1 pound ground beef
1 large egg
½ cup minced onion
1 clove of garlic (peeled and minced)
1½ teaspoon of salt
1½ teaspoon of pepper
1½ teaspoon of Thirteen’s spice Pili Pili
4 hamburger buns
4 iceberg lettuce leaves (rinsed and cut)
1 firm-ripe tomato (cored and thinly sliced)
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, egg, onion, bread crumbs, Worcestershire, garlic, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper until well blended and ¼ teaspoon of Pili Pili. Divide mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty about 4 inches wide.
- Lay the four patties on an oiled barbecue(or an oven) for 7 to 8 minutes on 160
- Lay the buns on a grill and cook lightly until toasted 30 seconds to 1 minute
- Spread ketchup and mayonnaise on the buns, add lettuce, tomato, burger onion and a tiny pinch of salt set bun tops in place.
